An All Wars Memorial Benefit

The Diablo Valley Veterans hosted a Christmas Dinner in December to benefit the All Wars Memorial. Guest speaker Kate O'Beirne gave a remarkable speech on why we should build the All Wars Memorial. Kate O'Beirne is National Reviews' Washington Editor. She is a regular on CNN's "Capital Gain," appears as a substitute host on CNN's "Crossfire" and as a commentator on "The Lehrer Newshour." Kate is a tireless advocate for a strong national defense and has deep respect for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

Over 120 guests enjoyed hearing Kate O'Beirne speak at the house of Bruce and Valerie Schooley in Alamo, California. Other special guests included Artist Rolf Kriken, who designed the statues, Landscape Architect Scott Smith, State Senator Richard Rainey, Assemblywoman Lynne Leach, Sheriff Warren Rupf, and District Attorney Gary Yancey. The Veterans of Diablo Valley sincerely hope to have more events like this in the future.
